Men's Health Treatment Programs

HoLEP — Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate

The current benchmark for benign prostate enlargement. The obstructing tissue is enucleated from the inside with a holmium laser, with no external incision. It works regardless of prostate size, controls bleeding as it goes, and the removed tissue is sent for full pathological examination.

ThuLEP — Thulium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate

Same enucleation principle, thulium laser energy. Excellent tissue cutting with very precise hemostasis, which makes it a strong option for men on anticoagulants or with cardiac risk. Your surgeon selects between HoLEP and ThuLEP based on prostate size, anatomy and medical history.

Multiparametric MRI-Fusion Prostate Biopsy

Your multiparametric MRI is fused with live ultrasound so suspicious lesions are sampled directly instead of randomly. More clinically significant cancers found, fewer harmless ones over-treated, and a transperineal option for a lower infection risk.

Ga-68 PSMA PET-CT

A PSMA-targeted scan that shows prostate cancer cells wherever they are in the body. Used for accurate staging before treatment and to locate recurrence when PSA rises again — often while values are still very low.

Prostate Cancer Treatment

Robot-assisted and open radical prostatectomy, radiotherapy, hormonal and systemic therapy, and active surveillance for suitable low-risk patients. Every plan is set by the multidisciplinary tumor board, not by a single opinion.

Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) — Full Pathway

Uroflowmetry, ultrasound with residual volume, symptom scoring and medical therapy first. Surgery — laser enucleation, TURP or open surgery — only when it is genuinely the right answer.

Kidney & Urinary Tract Stones

RIRS with flexible ureteroscopy, laser lithotripsy, PCNL and ESWL, plus metabolic work-up so the stones don't simply come back.

Andrology & Sexual Health

Erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, and penile prosthesis surgery, with medical, shockwave and surgical options discussed openly.

Male Infertility

Semen analysis, hormone and genetic evaluation, varicocele surgery, and sperm retrieval procedures including micro-TESE, coordinated with our IVF team.

Testosterone Deficiency & Men's Hormone Health

Proper diagnosis of low testosterone — not a single lab value — followed by monitored treatment and cardiovascular and prostate safety follow-up.

Bladder & Kidney Cancer

Endoscopic and laparoscopic surgery, intravesical therapy, partial and radical nephrectomy, with oncology support in the same building.

Urinary Incontinence & Pelvic Floor

Post-prostatectomy incontinence, overactive bladder, artificial sphincter and sling surgery, plus pelvic floor rehabilitation.

Diagnostics & Office-Based Procedures

PSA & Free PSA Testing

Baseline and follow-up prostate-specific antigen measurement, interpreted alongside prostate volume, age and PSA density rather than in isolation.

Multiparametric Prostate MRI (mpMRI)

3T imaging with T2, diffusion and dynamic contrast sequences, reported using PI-RADS scoring to decide whether a biopsy is needed at all.

MRI-Fusion Biopsy (Transperineal / Transrectal)

Targeted cores from PI-RADS 3–5 lesions plus systematic sampling, under sedation or general anaesthesia.

Ga-68 PSMA PET-CT

Whole-body PSMA imaging for staging high-risk disease and for biochemical recurrence after surgery or radiotherapy.

Uroflowmetry & Post-Void Residual Measurement

Objective measurement of urine flow rate and retained volume — the numbers that decide whether BPH needs surgery.

Urodynamic Studies

Pressure-flow assessment for complex voiding problems, overactive bladder and post-prostatectomy incontinence.

Transrectal & Suprapubic Ultrasound

Prostate volume, bladder wall changes and kidney assessment in a single visit.

Cystoscopy

Direct flexible or rigid inspection of the urethra and bladder for haematuria, strictures and bladder tumours.

Hormone Panel (Total & Free Testosterone, LH, FSH, Prolactin, SHBG)

Full endocrine profile for suspected testosterone deficiency or infertility.

Semen Analysis & Sperm DNA Fragmentation

Detailed andrology laboratory testing for male infertility evaluation.

Penile Doppler Ultrasound

Assesses arterial inflow and venous leak in erectile dysfunction before treatment is chosen.

Bone Scintigraphy & Whole-Body Imaging

Additional staging where indicated, reviewed together with PSMA PET-CT findings.

Men's Health Check-Up Panel

Cardiovascular risk, blood pressure, lipids, glucose and HbA1c, thyroid, liver and kidney function, vitamin D, colorectal cancer screening and BMI/body composition — because prostate health is rarely the only thing worth checking.

Common Questions

Do you offer online consultations before travel?

Yes. Send your PSA results, MRI and any biopsy reports, and a urologist will review them and speak with you by video before you book anything.

What is the difference between HoLEP and ThuLEP?

Both remove the obstructing prostate tissue endoscopically by enucleation, and both work at any prostate size. The difference is the laser energy used: holmium (HoLEP) or thulium (ThuLEP). Thulium cuts with particularly fine hemostatic control, which can be an advantage for men on blood thinners. Your surgeon recommends one based on your prostate volume, anatomy and medical history.

Is my prostate too large for laser surgery?

Almost certainly not. Laser enucleation is size-independent, which is why it has largely replaced open prostatectomy for very large glands.

How long will I stay in hospital after HoLEP or ThuLEP?

Most patients stay 1–2 nights, with the catheter usually removed within 24–48 hours. Plan roughly 5–7 days in Istanbul in total so your follow-up check happens before you fly.

Why a fusion biopsy instead of a standard biopsy?

A standard biopsy samples the prostate blind. A fusion biopsy overlays your MRI onto live ultrasound so suspicious lesions are targeted directly — which finds more clinically significant cancers and avoids over-diagnosing harmless ones.

When is Ga-68 PSMA PET-CT used?

Mainly in two situations: accurate staging before treatment of intermediate or high-risk prostate cancer, and locating recurrence when PSA starts rising after surgery or radiotherapy — often while PSA is still very low.

Will laser prostate surgery affect my sexual function?

Erectile function is generally preserved. However, retrograde ejaculation — semen passing into the bladder instead of outward — is common after enucleation. It is harmless but relevant if you are planning to father children, so tell your surgeon beforehand.

Can I bring a companion?

Absolutely. We arrange accommodation for family members and provide interpreter support throughout the stay.

How do I send my medical records?

Securely through our online portal or by email to the international patient desk. All data is protected and confidential.

How quickly can treatment start after I arrive?

Once diagnostics are complete, most procedures are scheduled within 24–72 hours.
