At Istanbul Florence Nightingale Hospital, cell-based treatments are considered according to the available scientific evidence and each patient’s clinical needs. Our approach includes established therapies such as bone marrow and stem cell transplantation for selected blood disorders and CAR-T therapy for eligible cancers, alongside supportive treatments such as PRP where appropriate. We prioritise clear, evidence-based guidance to help patients understand potential benefits, limitations and suitable treatment options.

What We Offer at Florence Nightingale?

Autologous Stem-Cell Transplantation

Your own stem cells, collected and returned after high-dose chemotherapy to rebuild bone marrow. Standard of care in myeloma and certain lymphomas.

Allogeneic Stem-Cell Transplantation

Stem cells from a matched donor rebuild your blood and immune system, treating leukaemia, lymphoma and inherited blood disorders.

CAR-T Cell Therapy

Your own T-cells, re-engineered to target specific blood cancers, then reinfused with intensive monitoring for known side effects. This is genuine cell therapy — and the reason the term deserves protecting from misuse.

Haematopoietic Support in Cancer Care

Stem-cell collection and transplantation coordinated with our Oncology and Transplant centres, alongside chemotherapy and radiotherapy.

PRP for Joints and Tendons

Your own blood, concentrated and injected into a joint or tendon. Best supported for mild to moderate knee arthritis, where it may ease pain for some months — it doesn’t regrow cartilage or replace a joint replacement you actually need.

PRP for Scalp and Skin

Used alongside medical treatment for pattern hair loss and as an adjunct in skin rejuvenation — modest and maintenance-dependent.

Polynucleotide & Mesotherapy Skin Treatment

Injectable skin-conditioning treatments delivered by dermatology, honestly described as a refresh of skin quality, not regeneration.

Image-Guided Orthobiologic Injections

Ultrasound- or fluoroscopy-guided joint and tendon injections, selected by diagnosis. Guidance matters — an injection in the wrong compartment does nothing.

Structured Rehabilitation

Progressive loading, hydrotherapy and supervised strengthening — the least glamorous, best-evidenced form of tissue recovery, and often the thing we lead with rather than an injection.

A Guide On Regenerative Medicine Claims

Ask what the cells actually are

A legitimate provider can name the cell type, its source and the approval under which it is administered. Vague language like “regenerative cells” usually means the specifics wouldn’t survive scrutiny.

Ask which approval applies

Approved cell therapies are approved for named conditions, not categories of illness. A long, unrelated disease list is marketing, not medicine.

Ask for published evidence, not testimonials

Before-and-after photos and conference talks aren’t evidence. Ask for trial data in your specific condition.

Understand what PRP realistically does

It may ease pain in mild-to-moderate knee arthritis for a few months. It doesn’t regenerate cartilage or postpone a replacement you genuinely need.

Get a second opinion before paying a deposit

We review regenerative medicine quotes from other providers at no charge — even when our honest conclusion is that you shouldn’t travel for it at all.

Common Questions

What does your programme actually treat?

Established cell therapies — stem-cell transplantation and CAR-T — for blood and marrow disease, plus supportive treatments like PRP for specific musculoskeletal problems.

Does PRP work for knee arthritis?

It may ease pain for a few months in mild-to-moderate disease. It doesn’t regrow cartilage, and we’ll tell you plainly when a joint replacement is actually the better option.

Is a stem-cell transplant the same as stem-cell therapy?

No — a transplant rebuilds bone marrow to treat blood disease. It’s not a general repair therapy for joints or organs, though the two get conflated in advertising constantly.

What is CAR-T and am I eligible?

CAR-T re-engineers your own T-cells to attack specific blood cancers. It’s approved for defined lymphoma and leukaemia types — send your haematology records and we’ll assess your case.
